Summary

In creating Ethereal Visions Tarot Matt Hughes has drawn inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement, adopting its distinctive style and meticulous approach to craftsmanship。 The artist has also created two additional cards to supplement the traditional Major Arcana。 Every detailed image in the 80-card deck is hand drawn and colored。 Each card is illuminated with gold foil stamping, to elegant effect。 Includes a 48-page booklet。 Matt Hughes is a self-taught artist who focuses on the aesthetic approaches referred to today as "The Golden Age of Illustration。" His style combines inspiration from the Art Nouveau, Pre-Raphaelite and Symbolist movements, to produce an artistic expression uniquely his own。

A gorgeous deck of light and shimmering possibilities。 Hard truths are not sugar-coated, but these kinds of divinations are more palatable than those found in ominous decks。 I highly recommend this one for its photogenic nature。

This set of cards are truly gorgeous, complete with gold foil finishing。 I love the art Nuevo style of art, and the addition of artist-created cards to the Major Arcana。 The box they come in is also lovely, but the guidebook leaves me wanting more。 The descriptions are apt, and I especially like to inclusion of reverse meanings as those are less frequent in guidebooks and not always the exact opposite of an upright reading like one might think。 Still, they are very short descriptions, a little t This set of cards are truly gorgeous, complete with gold foil finishing。 I love the art Nuevo style of art, and the addition of artist-created cards to the Major Arcana。 The box they come in is also lovely, but the guidebook leaves me wanting more。 The descriptions are apt, and I especially like to inclusion of reverse meanings as those are less frequent in guidebooks and not always the exact opposite of an upright reading like one might think。 Still, they are very short descriptions, a little too short for my liking。 Overall it is a great deck to use, and has been my go-to for half a year。 Though I do tend to consult other guidebooks when reading with these cards。 I recommend this deck highly, but warn that you consult additional guides if you’re still new to Tarot as I am。 You may not find enough meaning in the supplied guide。 。。。more
